Sunday changeovers for 2023/2024: 5 great reasons why

Over the last few years, we’ve tested both Saturday and Sunday changeovers and we’ve decided firmly that we LOVE Sunday changeovers!

Due to the way Christmas and New Year falls, the first three weeks of the season (w/c Sat 16 Dec/Sat 23 Dec/Sat 30 Dec) will remain as Saturday changeovers, but from Sunday 7 January 2024, we’ll revert back to Sundays.

The benefits of a Sunday changeover to our guests include:

  • Saturday traffic can very challenging! The roads are often extremely busy, transfer times to and from airports increase by several hours; even the road between the train stations and resort can be slow – and who wants to start their holiday like that? Plus if you travelled on a Saturday last season, you may remember there were quite a few protests and roadblocks – and typically, this wouldn’t happen on a Sunday. We’ve found that Sunday roads are much quieter and smoother, and therefore much less stressful
  • Your last ski day will be a Saturday, and because so many people leave on the Saturday, the slopes are much quieter, with just the locals (like us!) who take advantage of it. It’s a lovely way to end your trip, and on a Sat-Sat trip you normally don’t get to ski on Saturday at all!
  • All our lift pass offers work from a Monday, and if you arrive early on the first Sunday, you can enjoy a half day free afternoon skiing (if you buy a 6-day Paradiski lift pass).
  • Ski schools have courses that start on a Monday, so you won’t be missing out on vital lesson time.
  • And as an added bonus, some transfer firms also offer cheaper transfers on a Sunday, so you might get a bit of a saving too!
