Chalet Husky

Chalet Husky, is a stunning, stylish chalet in the same new-build development as Chalet Grizzli, Chalet Chocolat and also Chalet Bluebird, our newest addition to the Montchavin Collection. Situated next to the ‘Les Coches’ bubble, Chalet Husky commands impressive views of the piste and Montchavin snow-front.

Using slate, timber and local stone, Chalet Husky has been artfully designed with contemporary fittings and fixtures to create a classy and extremely comfortable chalet home.  The chalet is laid out over 4 floors, with 6 spacious bedrooms each with a wardrobe and twin beds that can be combined to make a double; a huge open-plan dining lounge area; a TV snug and a hot tub on the balcony, with truly fabulous views.

The entrance hall has boot-warmers to ensure your ski boots are toasty warm in the mornings, and a lockable ski locker outside the front door for boards and skis.

The outstanding feature of Chalet Husky is undoubtedly the amazing lounge-diner/kitchen on the top floor. The ceiling has been heightened to give a real feeling of space; the beautifully crafted wooden beams offer that essential alpine character of a ski chalet; and guests will be wowed by the views from the large dual-aspect windows (overlooking the piste in one direction and Mont Blanc in the other).

Guests can enjoy restaurant-quality food from our professional chef at the beautiful wooden dining table, and then retire to the comfortable sofas around the woodburner. Or pop through the balcony door to the outdoor hot tub, where they can sip a glass of bubbly whilst admiring the twinkling evening lights of Montchavin.

There is also a very handy secure underground car park (2 free parking places) with convenient lift access to the chalet, ideal for anyone that wants to self-drive.

Chalet Husky is based in Montchavin in La Plagne and is in a simply great location. It’s right opposite the Evolution2 shop (ideal for ski school and ski hire) and right by the ‘Les Coches’ cable car so very easy access to ski school meeting points.

It is a very short and easy stroll into the family-friendly resort centre of Montchavin with its shops, restaurants and bars.

This great location means that it’s very easy to pop back to the chalet early (or have a lie-in and leave a bit later!) or arrange for the nanny to pick up the kids after ski school and bring them back to the comfort of the chalet.

There is secure underground car parking (2 spots) – so no need to spend all morning clearing snow off your car!

Sleeps 10 – 14 in 6 bedrooms (3 double/twin ensuites; 1 family room with a double/twin _ bunkbed) and 2 large bedrooms that share a bathroom.
Complimentary toiletries, cotton bedding, soft towels and bathrobes. Each room can be made up into a double or a twin.

Please note, we will only sell both these rooms to a single group that has agreed to sharing a bathroom. So if you book one of these rooms for 2 people, we will not sell the other room – so there will never be any untoward bathroom sharing!

Your chalet staff live in a nearby apartment in Montchavin.

Chalet Husky has an enviable position, being both in the centre of the village, but also being right next to a ski lift – the “Coches” bubble-lift is a literal stones throw from the chalet.

So in the morning, it’s a (very quick!) walk to the lift to whisk you up into the skiing. And in the afternoon you can ski back down to Montchavin and cut off to Chalet Husky, meaning you can ski back to within about 10 metres of the front door (or to the bar opposite the chalet if you prefer…). And all on a blue slope.

And if your legs are a bit weary after a long day on the mountain you can even take the bubble lift back down to the chalet.
