Alpine365 is a family-run, independent chalet company specialising in ski and summer holidays in the Alps. Winter 2023/24 will be our 15th season.
With Alpine365, what we essentially wanted to create was the kind of experience we wanted ourselves from a chalet holiday – fantastic skiing, boarding and mountain activities, fabulous food, quality wines, gorgeous surroundings and great conversations and laughs with friends – yet at affordable prices.
We’re Duncan & Toorna Salmon, co-owners of Alpine365. After 13 years of working in Marketing in London & Berkshire, we both decided we wanted a total change in lifestyle. So we left our jobs in the UK, got married and moved to the French Alps to set up our business – all in the same year!
After managing and running Chalet Epicea, our original La Plagne chalet, ourselves, we decided to grow the business and over the years, we have added suitable chalets to our portfolio, whilst still maintaining that genuinely flexible and hands-on approach that is crucial for a special skiing holiday.
We have a high number of returning guests; we were nominated as UK Best Chalet Company in the Daily Telegraph 2014 World Snow Awards; our chalets are frequently mentioned in the press, and our Tripadvisor reviews show what great holidays our guests receive – we’re rated number 1 in Les Coches, and all our chalets have nothing but 5* reviews.
Now with five chalets, we carefully select our staff to look after you during your entire time with us, from producing a gorgeous dining experience to making the chalet a welcoming home-from-home. But, because we love nothing more than entertaining and meeting people from all over the world, we’re around to ensure your pre-booked ski passes, lessons and ski hire are organised, to give you advice on where best to ski or board, and of course, crack open the fizz when you arrive!
Duncan’s passion is skiing – he’s skied since he was a nipper in various resorts around the world (and he’s pretty good, although not as good as he thinks he is…). Toorna’s happiest when cruising around the pistes, and our young daughters, Tia and Lyra, are now flying down runs at speeds that make their parents’ eyes water!
