Will there be snow? Will it be busy? Is everything open over Easter? – these are just some of the questions we get about late season skiing!
We were delighted to have Hello magazine journalist, Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon, stay with us last April, and she wrote a great article about her ski trip.
We personally think Easter skiing is a great option – especially for families with younger children that could find it too cold earlier on in the year.
It will be warm, and you should definitely pack your suncream and sunnies! And yes there will be snow – the conditions can get slushy towards the end of the day – but remember that, as we’re based in La Plagne, most of your skiing will be up high. There are fewer crowds than in peak NY and February school holidays.
Our chalet staff organise Easter Egg hunts around the chalets for our younger guests, plus La Plagne puts on the Megabell Course – a fun competition around La Plagne for the whole family – there’s obstacles, boarder crosses, sledges, ball pits and slaloms.
And over the last 3 or 4 seasons, we have experienced fresh snowfall right the way into late April, so there’s a great chance for some late season, fresh stuff too! Anyone that was skiing during the week of 17-Apr-2025 will remember the crazy amount of snow that fell in just 24 hours!
