As parents ourselves, we know that when it comes to looking after your children, peace-of-mind is a priority. That’s why we try to help out as much as we can to ensure you can have a relaxing ski holiday, safe in the knowledge that your nearest and dearest are safely looked after. From local ski school and crèche, to individual in-chalet nannies, whatever your needs we can advise and help with the arrangements.
In-chalet childcare
We work with several English-speaking nannies, who will come directly to the chalet to look after your little ones whilst you’re out skiing. Many of them have worked with us for years, and know our chalets well – some have even babysat our own children, so come well-recommended! For our Montchavin chalets, as the meeting point for ski school is literally at the top of the gondola next to the chalets, they can also pick your kids up from ski school and bring them back to the chalet.
You can also opt for babysitting on the night when you go out to a restaurant.
We’ll send you prices and contact details and then arrange for the nannies to contact you directly, so that you can ensure they are the right fit for your children.
Local creches
There is a local creche in Montchavin and Les Coches, where your child can be looked after with other kids. Do note that the creches are very French (sleep routines, eating times etc) and the staff don’t speak much English.
If your older children are having ski lessons with ESF and you’re looking for wrap-around childcare, they will work with the local creche. If your children are having ski lessons with Evolution2, they have a dedicated Club Yeti childcare service.
Equipment in the chalet
We have kitted out the chalets with everything you might need – stairgates, travel cots, highchairs, children’s crockery, toys and sledges.
